Dr. Krystal Fortney, Ph.D., LPC-MHSP-S, NCC is a licensed professional counselor, educator, and mental-health visionary with over a decade of experience across clinical, academic, and government settings who believes healing is both science and soul work. With more than a decade of experience across clinical practice, higher education, and government systems, she leads with clarity, courage, and cultural consciousness. As Founder and CEO of Eden Eman Counseling & Consulting and co-founder of Fortney Research & Consulting Partners with criminologist Kiarra Fortney, she empowers professionals and organizations to build emotionally intelligent systems, advance equity, and lead with authenticity, balance, and heart.
At my core, I’m a lifelong learner, teacher, speaker and mentor who loves equipping new counselors, counselor educators, and professionals of all kinds to approach their work with authenticity, emotional depth, and cultural humility. I’m passionate about helping professionals create spaces of learning and supervision that foster safety, reflection, and transformation.
But beyond the titles, I’m a woman who leads with grace and grit! A traveler and lover of laughter. I believe balance is sacred and that purpose should never cost you peace. My speaking, teaching, and consulting engagements are extensions of that belief: that we can do excellent work, make real change, and still live peacefully, whole, and joyful lives.
